Hours will be weather dependent since seating will be outdoors only. Rain or storms will close our operations. Call ahead 434-971-8796 or text 434-466-3989 for updates. Outdoor seating only. Minimum of 8 feet apart. Our capacity will be limited due to adherence of strict social distancing guidelines. No groups larger than 25 will be allowed on the property. Lawn area seating available. Bring chairs and blankets if you like. Children and dogs welcome but must remain with their adult group at their designated table area. Bottle sales only. We will use paper cups. Purchase a glass or bring your own. Table service provided with contactless charges (no cash). Bottled water available for purchase or bring your own. Prepackaged food for sale or bring a picnic. Customers required to wear masks when entering site and moving around. No customers should visit with symptoms of COVID-19. Staff will be wearing masks and using gloves during cleaning procedures. All common areas and bathrooms will be cleaned hourly.

Fermented in neutral French oak barrels for 9 months on the lees. The lees aging lends itself to a more weighty mouthfeel, while the use of neutral barrels displays the bright melon and citrus notes of the wine. Vegan. 100% estate grown. 12.9% alc.

2022 VA Governor’s Cup Silver. Blackberry, black cherry. Woodsy nature. Bold, intense, structured full-bodied red blend with a dry, long finish. Reserve style. Complex. Medium-high tannins. 35% Petit Verdot, 32% Tannat, 32% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Chambourcin. Aged in 50% new French oak and 50% neutral oak for 18 months. Vegan. 100% estate grown. 14.2% alc.

2018 Tannat. 2023 VA Governor's Cup Silver. Developing wine. Nose full of black dark fruits- blackberry, currants, plums, cherry, raspberry. Aromas of cassis, spices, licorice black pepper, chocolate, violets, hints of soil and oak. On the palate- mirrors the nose with balanced solid tannic backbone, moderate balance, length, complexity and finish. Tart acidity brightens and pushes tannins forward. Aging potential. 16 months in barrel, 35% new oak. 87% Tannat, 10% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. Vegan. 100% estate grown. 13.5% alc.

2021 Rosé. 2023 VA Governor's Cup Silver. Youthful wine. Whole cluster press creates the vibrant hue. Balanced tart acidity with modest tannins that give moderate complexity and nice concentration. Fruit forward with fresh red fruits. Black cherry, strawberry, plums and some spicy, gamey notes. Medium finish. Neutral French oak barrels for texture. 100% Chambourcin. 11.5% alc.

2020 Skin Contact Chardonnay 
The skin contact and barrel aging influences a broad mouthfeel with soft and structured tannins. Notes of apricot, cooked apple and dried citrus lead to subtle aromas of savory herbs and baking spices. Dry.
Fermented like a red wine, this skin contact Chardonnay displays tannins and texture often associated with red wines. This Chardonnay is harvested later than most used for white wine, allowing the fruit to gain additional sugar, lower acid and ripen phenolic.
Fermented whole cluster, 3 weeks on the skins and stems. Aged in neutral French barrels for 15 months.
100% estate grown. Lower alcohol. 10.7% alc.

2024 VA Governor’s Cup Gold. The 2019 Chisholm Petit Verdot highlights why the variety is becoming so popular to grow in Virginia. It’s open clusters and small, thick skin, highly ripe berries, create concentrated wines with weighty fruit character. Petit Verdot, is known for its rich color and phenolic density, the 2019 vintage is no exception. The tannins are rounded from its barrel aging, 18 months, on 50% new oak. We use 300L barrels for the new oak portion of this wine, allowing for a bit less air oxygenation through the barrel and surface area with the new toasting. The toast of the barrel is well integrated into the wine, with notes of boysenberries, cherry pie and black currants, leading to subtlety secondary notes of violets and sage. 13.9% alc.
